What we compare

Real cost of a purchase = trading fee + spread + deposit fees + CAD or crypto withdrawal fees. Each item is taken from the platform’s official page, with URL and date.

"Not found"

If a platform does not publish a fee (often the spread), we say "not found". We never guess or use third-party averages. The calculator lets you enter your own spread estimate.

Which platforms

Platforms on the AMF register, plus clearly flagged exceptions (e.g. Bitbuy, run by Coinsquare Capital Markets). Services not registered with the AMF are left out of the main table.

Updates

The AMF register is monitored automatically; fees are rechecked regularly. Last full check: 2026-10-20.
