The AMF crypto platform registry

In Quebec, a platform that lets clients buy and hold crypto must be registered with the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) as a dealer, or have signed a pre-registration undertaking while its application is reviewed.

Official registry: lautorite.qc.ca — crypto trading platforms.

As of October 20, 2026, registered platforms are: Coinbase, Coinsquare, Fidelity Digital Assets, Crypto.com, Kraken, NDAX, Netcoins, Newton, Shakepay and Wealthsimple. DigiFinex has signed a pre-registration undertaking.

Bitbuy is not on this list but says it is registered in Quebec; it is operated by the same company as Coinsquare (Coinsquare Capital Markets Ltd.).
